moving

Well in the morning we finish moving everything over to our new place. Now that it is finally here I thought I would share a few things I will and will not miss.

Things I will miss about this place
1)Location! It is so awesome to be close to Temple Square and Scott's work. Just took a few minutes to walk there
2)Storage-this place had a lot of built in storage shelves and large closets.
3) Space-we have a huge living room. I love the open floor plan
4)People-we have made some good friends, met a lot of interesting people and 2 apostles (will definitely miss that)
5)ummm really not sure-I might be able to think of something later.

Things I will not miss
1)leaky ceiling-seriously there has been atleast one a month since July!
2)having only a shower and no dishwasher
3)The utility closet/laundry room/Bugs!!!
4)Takes forever to drive somewhere
5)Walking up the huge steep hill to come home from Scott's work & Temple Square

This has been a good place-lots of problems-but a good place. I am VERY happy to be moving on to a bigger and nicer placer. I will be even more excited once we are done with the move. It has been a fun experience and we have made so many memories that I hope to never forget. It was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity but I really am not a city girl...but I still want to visit.

First Ponytail

Little Santa

Its freezing outside and snowing a ton so I thought Aubrey should wear her red sweatsuit. Aubrey decided to accessorize with her Santa Hat! Isn't it a great festive look. She even says "HO HO HO" really well!

Crazy Faces

Here we go again with Olivia's crazy faces. This little girl has some serious talent. The newest one is hilarious-she scrunches her face, shows her bottom teeth, and makes some snorting sound. This was an attempt to capture it. Not quite the full thing but close...the sound effects make it better. I must add she does this face ALL the TIME!This face is just funny. She got caught trying to eat the wrapping paper and this is the face she gave me. And Here is her Sweet, Happy smile. The presents are all still wrapped and not to much slobber damage. Lets see if they survive another week. Both kids are pretty excited to open presents.

Santa Baby

The other day I found the Santa hat Aubrey wore when she was a baby. I am going to use it for Olivia's Christmas Outfit. Aubrey wanted to wear it but it didn't come even close to fitting. She was a little sad about this so when I was at the store a few days later I picked her up one. She was trying it on and the child size almost didn't fit-she has kind of a big head. Anyway she remembered Olivia has one to and insisted they both needed to wear one. So here are my two Santa Babies.

It is really hard to get a good picture of both of them. Aubrey pulled both of their hats off before I could get a picture. I love Olivia's face in this picture.Admiring the tree

My Funny Aubrey

Isn't Olivia sweet.

Funny Story-
Aubrey has been having a hard time with her naps this week. She won't go down when she is suppose to and later in the day I find her resting in random places.

I love these girls!

Yesterday I heard Olivia waking up and went to get her and Aubrey followed. When I opened the door I said "Hi Olivia" and then Aubrey said "Oh hi pumpkin." She is a sweetheart and sure loves her little sister.

Pink Cookies

Life is crazy in the Harris house but we are loving it. We have a new place to live in and I am so excited. It has 3 bedrooms, is bigger than this place, has a dishwasher, and a BATHTUB! I'm Still working on getting Scott to be a little more excited...hopefully he will come around after all the heavy lifting is done. Besides moving in 2 1/2 weeks (and all that is required with that), packing, decorating for Christmas, shopping, getting our cards sent, getting ready for company this weekend and also in a few weeks my family comes, Christmas parties, and all of the other daily living requirements we are enjoying our December. Today I thought I would take a little break from the running around to make some cookies with Aubrey. She LOVES to help in the kitchen and knows to go and get her chair to stand on. Here is our adventure making *Pink Cookies*

All smiles are ready to start baking!

Helping make the dough
Her favorite part-Taste TestingShe did fall off the chair one and I scratched her while trying to save her life. Good news she didn't hit the ground very hard and no tears. What a tough girl.
Enjoying her hard work

Light on Temple Square

Last night we went down to Temple Square to look at the lights. I am amazed every year how beautiful it looks. Both girls really loved it.

My three favorite people

As beautiful as all the Christmas lights are they aren't even close to being as beautiful as the Temple.

Big Blue Eyes

I'm a few days late but Livy is now 8 months old. She has two teeth! She pulls up on everything and is starting to figure out how to get back down. She is even trying to walk along the furniture. She is learning to crawl and can do it but prefers army crawling when she needs to get somewhere fast (which is almost all the time). She has a smile that lights up her entire face and you can't help smile back. She is our sweet little wiggle worm.

pLaY TiMe

I love that my girls love to play together. I think it is so much fun to watch them interact. It is also fun to watch them learn and play by themselves. Here are some of the recent games in the Harris house.

I love Aubrey's face in this picture. We like to joke that you only need to tickle Olivia to get BOTH girls laughing. Aubrey loves to hear Olivia laugh. Aubrey was tickling Livy with the dog.

This was more my play time. Callie and Katie stopped by to visit. It is so much fun to see them and I am so happy that we have stayed such good friends over the years. Aubrey is getting pretty good at Basketball.

(Please excuse her lack of clothes in most of these pictures. We are potty training her and Pants just get in the way) Aubrey was showing Livy how to push the buttons on this toy.

My Big Olivia has got the hang of it. She loves pulling up on everything. She thinks she is pretty cool.

Today's fun game was playing inside the box. Really WHY do we buy our kids toys?

I really did it

Well I put in our 30 days notice! I am very excited to move on from here. It has been fun but to many problems. We will miss the convenient location and the huge living room but we are off to new and better places...first I have to find that place. We really want to move before Christmas so that doesn't give me much time to find a new place. Oh well the stress is totally worth it. Scott isn't thrilled to have to move for the 4Th December in a row and have a commute but he is willing to anyways. He really is great.
